<description>We all enjoyed the week immensely, the location is superb and the boat and marina are excellent.

As a group with mixed ability, from complete beginner to Coastal Skipper, it must have been a challenge for Mark to put together a week that ensured we all gained some benefit and more importantly enjoyed the experience. He did and we did.

Gary, our complete beginner and bar stool expert (Sharkey’s revenue has dropped significantly since we left) is now totally hooked having gained his Comp Crew and is now looking at retuning later in the year to do a Day Skipper course. Laura rose to the challenge and gained confidence to be a Skipper in all respects, not just a recreational roll but a life skill once gained never lost. Mark really knew how to get the best from us all. Even Sal, who enjoys her sailing in a more passive sense, gained from the week if nothing more than reinforcing that Laura and I do have some idea of what we are doing!

From my perspective, I found Mark’s tuition exceptionally professional while still fun and enjoyable and having done a number of RYA courses with other centers in the past it was good to refresh skills and gain advantage from Mark’s experience. I learnt new techniques and honed old ones and hopefully left bad habits behind

The cruising area offers something for everyone and I especially enjoyed sailing up the Faro river deltas, something I probably would not have done on my own. This experience has built confidence.
